Congratulations again to the 2019 Mayor's Beautification Award Winners!!! We had a fantastic reception. It was such a pleasure to meet everyone.

Thank you to our volunteer judges: Carol Bork, Judy Ducharme, Ruth Falkner, Mary Herrick, Mary Jones, Emily Jordan, Lois Knoll, Barb Leininger, Judy McCabe Krudwig, Karn McElroy, Janet Nienow, Billie Schalla, Donna Terlinden, Kathleen Thomson, Ray Engelking, and Don Behnke. Special thanks to our chair Mike Falkner and out volunteer photographers: Linnea Koenigs who captured photos of the winning properties and Diane Jaeger for capturing our celebration. A great thanks to the City of West Bend, Mayor Sadownkiow and the Aldermen for helping to celebrate the winners.

Roots and Branches sponsors the Mayor’s Beautification Award each year that recognizes and promotes attractive residential front landscapes. There are eight winners, one from each district in the City of West Bend. Awards are based on the impact a particular landscape has on the surrounding neighborhood rather than the amount of money spent. It is intended to be a “thank you” for the efforts those have made in helping to make West Bend a more beautiful city in which to live, work and visit.

Roots and Branches mission is to improve the environment of the city of West Bend through improving the landscapes. We provide a clean-up campaign in the spring, seminars and other educational programs, Adopt-a-plot gardens around town and downtown, Garden Tour and so much more. In addition to the Mayor’s Beautification Awards, we also sponsor the Business Beautification Award. Roots and Branches is a non-profit organization and receives no tax dollars.
